2007 Winners Announced:
The New York State Elks Association Lodge Activities
Committee is proud to announce the state winners of the 2007 Grand Lodge
Internet Website Contest For Subordinate Lodges.
This was a brand new contest from Grand Lodge, recognizing that we are
now part of the "electronic age", and that a great number of people get
their information via the internet. This applies to members, prospective
members and the general public. All lodges should do their best to put
forth interesting and informative website information, and the contest
was designed to promote that very idea.
The winners in scoring order were:

I invite all interested parties to look at these websites for possible
ideas which we can all benefit from!
There was less than 8 points separating the 5 competing lodges in final
scoring, which meant that the level of quality of the websites was very
high and the judges had a difficult task to accomplish, which they did
in a very short period of time. I expect more lodges will be entering in
the coming years as word spreads about this important venue!
My special thanks to our judges and an even greater personal thanks to
Internet Chairman Joseph Scarchilli (Clifton Park #2466) without whose
help and guidance this project would not have been the success in our
state that it was!

The Grand Lodge “Lodge Activities” Committee has
announced a new contest for subordinate Lodge individual websites. In
our modern world, many people get much or most of their information via
the internet. It is therefore very fitting that we recognize and
acknowledge those lodges which have built and maintained outstanding
websites for their members and other interested individual to be
informed about our activities.
If your lodge enters the contest, it will be judged with
the one top winner in New York advancing to represent New York in the
Grand Lodge Web Contest for Subordinate Lodges.
