April 29th at the Area 1 PER Ritual Contest, Ed
Ackerley, PSVP and
Past State Ritual Chairman, of Liberty 1545, won All-Star Esteemed
Loyal Knight and Donna Bauer of Colonie 2192 won All-Star Candidate.
The New York team took second place to Maine.

September 17, 2006 - Area 1 Roulette Ritual Contest Results

with All-Star Chaplain Award
Over 70 Elks from New
England and New York met at Watervliet
Lodge 1500 on September 17 to compete in a different type of
Ritual Contest. While the assignments for Esquire, Chaplain
and Inner Guard positions are known, the remaining four officers
on the team select the position by random draw immediately before
taking the floor. This means that these four competitors must
know the Lecturing, Loyal, Leading and Exalted Ruler parts, and
be prepared to do one of them with only a minute's notice.
The competition involved teams representing the new England states
and New York. New York defended itself well, taking second place,
capturing three second place officer positions, and one All-Star.
Taking second were Ron Rockwood, Carthage 1762 for Exalted Ruler,
Matt Intrieri, Owego 1039 for Loyal Knight and Brian Scott, Carthage
1762,
for Esquire. All-Star Chaplain was won by Frank Bauer of Colonie
2192.
